Feature-Rich & Cost Effective: PLC Control with VisiLogic 8.00
Unitronics has now released VisiLogic 8.00. VisiLogic, PLC/HMI application software for Vision controllers, enables manufacturers to lower their control application costs without compromising on quality. How? New VisiLogic features give programmers the flexibility to use the same hardware—the same controller— to provide greater functionality.
Some of the benefits for OEMs and control engineers are:
- Multilingual applications: switch instantly between 16 HMI operator languages.
- SD Cards: store up to 16G’s of PLC run-time data, Trends and Alarms in datalogs, Excel and OpenOffice files.
- SD Card Remote Access & Data Export: via network/Ethernet with SD Card Suite freeware.
- Remote Operator: enables remote users to simultaneously view and operate multiple PLC/HMI screens.
- PLC as Webserver: Vision can now serve complex web pages, designed in third-party HTML editors.
A fresh approach to SD memory card management created the SD Card Suite—stand-alone software that enables remote access via Ethernet/network to SD card data—without ever removing the card from the PLC. Up to 16GB of data logs, application backups including OS, and operand values can be saved on the SD, as well as Trend and Alarm history. SD Manager software offers a 3-click wizard to export the data to Excel or .csv format.
The new Remote Operator utility enables users to sit at a PC, and simultaneously view—and operate—multiple PLCs via PC. Users can view real-time HMI panels and screens, and click on-screen objects to operate the PLC. Use this new software to display and operate multiple PLCs simultaneously, and easily zoom in-and-out of the system by adjusting screen size.
Use the PLC as a web server to view and edit PLC data via the Internet. Vision can host pages with a variety of colors, fonts, links to other sites, and scripts. Use the Unitronics built-in web server for an out-of-the-box solution or design complex web pages using a third-party HTML editor.
More new VisiLogic features include: increased string library—making it easy to create a single application that can serve end-users in 16 languages , over 4000 images library (including icons prepared for animated sequences) and new communication options such as SNMP and DF1.
